Winelands Weekend
A two- or three-day sample of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek singletrack from one base. For riders adding a weekend of trail to a Cape Town stay.
How this trip is run
This is an example trip. It would be run by a local partner operator and booked through Cape Line Co. The days, lodging and price are set out in your written proposal.
The trip
A trip worth
booking a flight for.
The Winelands Weekend is the simplest way to ride the Western Cape: two or three guided days on the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek networks from a single base, with the trails chosen to suit your group.
It works as a stand-alone weekend for riders already visiting Cape Town, or as the first days of a longer trip. E-bikes are welcome on many of these networks; tell us and we'll plan the days around that.
This is an example of the kind of trip a partner operator can run for you, not a fixed departure. The days above are a sample. Your written proposal sets out the exact trails, guides, lodging and price for your dates.
Sample days
A sample itinerary
A guided day on one of the two big Stellenbosch networks, chosen to match your group's grade. Natural singletrack in the Jonkershoek valley, or flowing built trail across Stellenbosch Mountain.
Across the Banhoek valley and into Franschhoek, finishing on the estate trails at the valley floor. Lunch in the village.
Add a gentler day on the Paarl trail network or Bottelary Hills, or stop at two days and spend the morning in town.
